Netflix has it, Amazon Video On Demand has it, even the Zune Marketplace has it, now iTunes users will have access to the entire iTunes movie catalog from "the cloud" with Cinemira. What Appsaurus is for the iPhone App Store, Cinemira is for the iTunes Movie Store. Search the entire iTunes movie catalog, focus a search on the HD rental catalog of iTunes or the Apple TV, and receive alerts when your favorite movies become available to rent. All these features are available to you without having to launch iTunes.

Who is Cinemira for?

Cinemira is for any iTunes or Apple TV user to help manage their movie catalog from the convenience of your favorite modern web browser.

Do I need to have iTunes installed?

iTunes is not needed to use Cinemira. It was built so that you can manage your iTunes movie catalog from any computer and modern web browser without the need for iTunes to be installed. However, iTunes is needed to complete a purchase or rental transaction and view movies.

Does Cinemira's database contain every movie ever created?

No, at this time, Cinemira's database is comprised of the iTunes movie catalog only.

How often is Cinemira's database of movies updated?

Cinemira's database is updated at least once a day.

When will Cinemira be available?

The Cinemira beta is now open to all users.

How was Cinemira built?

Cinemira is no ordinary web app. It's built on Cappuccino, an open source application framework for developing applications that look and feel like the desktop software users are familiar with.

What countries is Cinemira available in?

At launch Cinemira is available only in the U.S.

Do you charge to use Cinemira?

While Cinemira is a completely free service, you must register to use all of Cinemira's features.

What operating systems will Cinemira work on?

Cinemira will work on any operating system with a modern browser.

What do you mean by Cinemira working with all modern web browsers?

We'll be more specific about the browser requirements as launch time gets closer, but what we mean by modern is basically any browser released within the last 4 to 5 years. This means I wouldn't try it with Internet Explorer 6.

How do Stacks work?

Stacks are used to gather different groups of movies. Use the Favorites Stack for keeping track of your iTunes movie catalog or use it as a Wish List to save future rentals. Use the Notification Stack for gathering movies you wish to be notified about as soon as it becomes available to rent.

In what way am I Notified about new rentals?

When a rental that you have added to your Notifications Stack becomes available, you can choose to be notified either through email or with a Tweet to your Twitter account.

Can I watch movies using Cinemira?

Cinemira is a managing and discovering tool for movies in the iTunes Store. To purchase, rent, and view movies you will need to use iTunes.

Who is developing Cinemira?
